Where to stay in Sechelt

If you are searching for Sechelt hotels, start with the area rather than the property. The District of Sechelt covers Sechelt Village, Selma Park, Davis Bay, Wilson Creek, West Sechelt, East and West Porpoise Bay, Sandy Hook and Tuwanek. The area you pick decides how far you are from the beach, the restaurants and the parks. The district had 10,847 residents in the 2021 census.

This page does not list hotel names or nightly rates, because they change from season to season. Check current rates, parking and conditions with the property before you book. If you also plan activities, compare Sunshine Coast boat trips and tours before you fix your dates. Travelling on along the coast? The guide to where to stay in Roberts Creek covers the next stretch.

Porpoise Bay, Selma Park and Halfmoon Bay

Selma Park and Porpoise Bay are named parts of the District of Sechelt. Porpoise Bay has separate eastern and western areas, so always check which one your property is in. Porpoise Bay Provincial Park lies 4 km north of Sechelt along Sechelt Inlet Road, with a sandy beach and the Angus Creek trails. There is no lifeguard service.

Halfmoon Bay lies west of Sechelt. Smuggler Cove Marine Park is reached from Brooks Road off Highway 101, between Secret Cove and Halfmoon Bay, and the park lies 16 km west of Sechelt. Treat Halfmoon Bay as a separate base, not as downtown Sechelt.
